Subject: Nice Sendoff for Derek
What a day/night of music on the 1st day of the Wanee 2006.

Derek and guests were all smiles. Jack Pearson added a little jazz to the "Greensleeves" but Luther nailed it on his spots. Susan always brings graceful beauty and power to the dTb stage and this night was even better. "The Weight" was totally Aretha all the way! Roosevelt on "Spirit In the Dark" took a little while to crank up but added some nice fingerwork. My favorite is the interaction between Floyd Miles and Susan in "Feel So Bad", far and above worth a download.

Can't wait to hear Derek after a tour with Clapton! Make us proud Derek!!!

Thanks for making Wanee 2006 extra special.
I used subcards this year with good results. Nice bass bounce in this one and the levels are fairly even. It took all the energy and focus I could muster after 12 hours of music to make it happen but overall it turned out really well. I know there were about 6 or 7 sets of mics, so hopefully some other versions will surface soon! Enjoy!

Still love this one 4 years later (11/16/10)

This was a well produced event...and DTrucks was a great set -
Allmans rocked...
Sollid set up for minimal camping...
Great Weather...
Kind Folk all around...

Highly recommend you download his one and attend any show you can at Live Oak.

Subject: Thank you!
This late night set was a great sendoff. I can't get enough of this band, and this particular set features a face melting "Chevrolet" and "Crow Jane", and a great Susan-does-Aretha-Franklin-style "The Weight". Great times under the moss at Suwanee.

Good quality recording from the first 2/3rds I've managed to listen to, thank you!!!
